BC Tree Fruits Teams Up With 2011 Turkey Trot

(Vancouver, BC) BC Tree Fruits supplied boxes full of some of the first batches of BCTF Gala Apples to a lot of hungry runners on Thanksgiving weekend. The Granville Island Turkey Trot is an annual 10K walk, run, or stroll along the scenic, tree lined Granville Island backdrop in Vancouver. The run is a yearly tradition for many as it is the perfect recipe to work off your turkey dinner, or for some help prepare for the feast awaiting.

The BC Tree Fruits team came armed with apples and awaited the hungry 2000 runners crossing the 10K finish line and handed out whole and sliced fresh apples. Additionally one lucky runner walked away with a gift basket filled with the best in food from the Okanagan. Everyone enjoyed the seasonal BC Tree Fruits apples, and took home BCTFʼs apple inspired fall recipes.
